6 : 6 : 6 Book Bonanza :: Giveaway

6 = Only SIX weeks until The Cold Kiss of Death :: Spellcrackers.com book 2 is released! Yay!

6 = It's June! And June is my favourite month :-)

6 = There will be SIX winners in this week's giveaway!

So to continue my celebratory giveaways to help get the word out about The Co
ld Kiss of Death, here's this week's contest.

London is my favourite capital city*, not only was I born there, but now my Spellcrackers.com books are set in London. I love to wander round** and find real places to set my scenes, like Old Scotland Yard above [the home of the Metropolitan Police Magic and Murder Squad] and The Stilt, or Dali Tree in Victoria Embankment Gardens [pic below] which if you've read The Sweet Scent of Blood, I hope you'll recognise :-).

So here's this week's contest - To win all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me which city in the world is your favourite :-).

First commentator picked by Random.org will win a signed copy of The Cold Kiss of Death [plus a signed copy of The Sweet Scent of Blood, if they haven't read it] and their choice of one of the other six books [by some of my fav authors] below [includes the new release by Sarah Rees Brennan - The Demon's Lexicon]. Commentators 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will also win one of the books pictured below***

I comment = 1 entry

Please help me spread the word about the release of The Cold Kiss of Death and the giveaways with a mention of the giveaway on your blog/live journal/myspace/facebook/twitter/etc [post the link to the mention into the comments again] and give yourself more entries into this week's giveaway :-) 1 link = 1 entry

Which means you could end up with more entries into the metaphorical hat, so what are you waiting for? Get posting and linking!! Good Luck!!

x/posted to my LJ: leave a comment here or there. Contest ends end of day [anywhere] Thursday, 11th June 2009.

*I know there are other wonderful cities, but I was born there, and I'm British, so I'm biased. ;p

** Note to hubby: It's called research, and yes, it is vital I check out the shops too, who knows when and where inspiration might strike!

*** Logistical nightmare much! If you're a winner, I'll be asking for your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices, and hopefully everyone will get a book they're happy with :-)

Okay... I am really crossing my fingers here... I will even coax the randon.org... with a a date with my laptop.... And a bribe to all others... a truck load of dark/milk chocolate and some hot hunks!!!!

Okay... It is on my right side bar... here: http://alliwantandmore.blogspot.com/

And now for my favorite city... In real life, my fave city is New Orleans on a Saturday morning at Cafe Du Mone... with a cup of coffee in one hand and a book in the other... (while my hubby and daughter sleep in)! I love the relaxed atmosphere it has at that time.
Then my next fave is Baton Rouge... on a Saturday night for an LSU football game!
Yea, I know... both of two extermes!

But in my dream life... any where there is silence, a book, a drink and the beautiful blue water like on these damn vacation pictures... where some guy name serigo is serving me all day long!!! And I would not care what the name of the city is!!! LOL!

What an awesome giveaway!

My favourite city would have to be London also. I haven't travelled to many places so far, but living in London, you don't really need to. Everything is going on here, for better or for worse. We have the Queen and Buckingham Palace, and all those fantastic tourist attractions - Tower Bridge, Big Ben, The London Eye, Tower of London, etc, superb museums and galleries, great theatre shows, the O2, Wembley Stadium, the coming Olympic Park, some great proper British pubs, and Oxford Street. And we also have iconic red double decker buses - with the possibility that we may get our route master buses back, and the odd old red telephone boxes, which just look fantastic. London is pretty much... awesome. It's a tourist's paradise, and I'm lucky enough to live here :) (+1)

Hi Suzanne!

I've love to win these books, they sounds so good.

I've post this on my blog @ http://myblog2point0.blogspot.com/.

My favorite city to visit would be San Diego, CA. I've never been, but the pictures are beautiful and the ocean's close by. Lots to do in California, but I'd spend all my time at ocean side.

New York is a pretty cool city, but I have to choose my hometown of Windsor, Ontario. I don't live there anymore, but I love the city because it's a bit "trashy".

I won't even go on about what goes on there, lol, but it's dubbed "Tijuana of the North". If you want to check it out, do it via google. : )

My favorite city is San Fransisco. I love the mixture of the different cultures in SF. I've always felt right at home there, no matter how long it has been since my last to SF. Plus IMHO, the weather is wonderful, it doesn't fluctuate one way or another to any varying degree.

Thank you for the chance to win your books!!!

London used to be one of my favourite cities - I guess living here so long has become tiring and it doesn't sparkle like it used too.
I really love Ayr in West Scotland, although it's hardly a city. My Favourite would have to be Brasilia, Brasil. In it's own special way it's rather gorgeous.

Mardel said...

does it have to be a city you've visited? or can it be a city you'd like to visit based on pictures and movies you've seen. My favorite city actually visited would be San Francisco (the fog, hills, old houses and the bay), but my favoriet city to see in the movies and in pictures would be London, (the fog, the old, old, buildings and castles, the old streets).

Guess I'd say NYC, being so close and visiting often, there's always lots going on, indoors and out on the street. Sometimes we go for a particular play or concert, sometimes street fairs or just roaming around, seeing the sights, dining around, shopping, whatever gets our interest that day.

Well, since I'm a small-town gal and love the ocean, my favorite city is a small one called Morro Bay on the California shoreline. It's just quaint and hasn't changed drastically in the 30-odd years I've been going over there for long weekends or vacations. Wonderful little place!

Ooohhh. This is a hard one. I love St. Louis my home town and I spent a fantastic week in London just walking around by myself. I'm going to have to go with Washington DC, where I live now. I love all the different neighborhoods. I love that you can go walk around on the Mall and go to museums for free. My favorite is to drive the Geoge Washington parkway at night and see the monuments lit from across the Potomic River. I love the amazing diversity of people.

And my favorite city?..wow, I don't even know how to answer this because I haven't been to a lot of cities. I'd have to say New York City, but not from up close...I'm talking about from sitting atop the Triboro Bridge at night..where you can see all the twinkling lights. That's always been my favorite part about arriving into the city.
