Rabid Reader Double Giveaway!

Hello 2012!  I hope you all had a wonderful time ushering the New Year in? Mr Mc and I greeted  it quietly with the requisite malt and shortbread while watching the spectacular fireworks at the London Eye on the TV :-D. Sadly, the excitement and late night (I'm such a lightweight :-D) must have been too much for me as the Migraine Monster attacked yesterday (not hangover related, more's the pity), but after crawling under the covers early afternoon and hiding until this morning, the MM is now only a tiny niggle and victory should be mine very soon. *relieved sigh* :-)

And so onto my first post this new year! Which is to give you the heads up that the fabulous Mardel at Rabid Reader has a giveaway for 'The Bitter Seed of Magic' (Out Now US *happy dance*, and UK!) and the amazing 'Doc Vampire Hunting Dog' by J.A. Campbell. So head over to there now and enter! (there's not a lot of entries, so the odds are good for winning :-)) Open to US only, I think, and ends Jan 15. So, go on, go enter! You know you want to *g*

Yay! Don't the black and red covers look purty together? Though I'm not sure my vamps would be too chuffed to bump into Doc, not with that stake of his! *G*

'Behind the Pen' at The Spinecracker

The fabulous Jessica at The Spinecracker had me answer her great 'Behind the Pen' questions. Why not head on over and find out my biggest pet peeve, and what qualities I like in a man (and a woman *g*)! Plus there's a giveaway of  The Cold Kiss of Death (out April 26 US / out now UK) to one lucky commentator (Int. Ends Monday April 25th at midnight (pst))

Jess at The Spinecracker has also kindly reviewed The Cold Kiss of Death. She liked it! Yay!

Bottom Line: Mcleod comes back with such force in this second book. Her characters still have intrigue, her world remains mysterious, and her plots are diabolical. The Cold Kiss of a Death is a literary trifecta.

Thanks, Jess! You can read the whole review here if you're so inclined :-)

And talking of giveaways, the winner of J.A. Campbell's giveaway for a copy of both Westward, Yo! and Range Feud is . . .

Description
Tina Harker is a typical teenager. She loves hanging with her friends at the malls, shoes, and manicures. More than that, she loves horses. Life is everything she wants it to be, until her father packs their family up and drags them across the world to Arizona. Does he really think she'll be happy living in a ghost town in the middle of the desert? It's a million miles to the nearest shopping center, not even a real mall. Her only hope for survival is finding a new horse.

Trying to make the best of her horrible situation, Tina agrees to go on her first cattle drive. When one of the calves wanders off, Tina, in true cowgirl fashion and looking for excitement, rides off to rescue the poor little thing and gets a lot more adventure than she ever expected. A cowboy she’s never met accuses her of stealing cows, bandits kidnap her, and that’s not even the exciting part.

Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? I'm so looking forward to reading this.

Congratulations, J. A Campbell (aka Julie :-D).

Oh, and don't forget to enter this week's giveaway to celebrate the releases of my own books. The giveaway is Late Eclipses (#4 October Daye) by Seanan McGuire, and it's still live until midnight (GMT) 10th March. To be in with a chance of winning, all you have to do is tell me your favourite pet, or your favourite Alan Rickman character in the comments!

Plus check out my blog's sidebar for details of how you could win copies of The Cold Kiss of Death #2 from Goodreads!
